Editorial policy
This site publishes training guides, exercise form pages, fitness calculators, and comparisons of workout apps. This page explains the standards behind that content.
Research and accuracy
- Training guidance reflects positions supported by current sports-science research and established coaching practice. Where the evidence is mixed, we say so instead of picking the exciting side.
- Calculators state their formulas on the page (Epley, Mifflin-St Jeor, US Navy method) so results can be checked by hand.
- The rank system's methodology and limits are documented openly on the strength standards page.
- Training information is educational and is not medical advice. Consult a professional before starting a program, especially with existing injuries or conditions.
Product comparisons and conflicts
- We build Liftoff, and our comparisons say so at the top. That conflict of interest is managed with rules: claims about other apps come from their official pages, each comparison carries the date it was fact-checked and links its sources, and each includes a genuine "stick with them if" section.
- If a competitor ships something that changes a comparison, we update the page rather than defend the old version.
Updates and corrections
- Guides carry their last-updated date.
- Errors get corrected in place, promptly. Spotted one? Email contact@liftoffrank.com. Corrections are welcome from anyone, including competitors.
What we don't do
- No AI-fabricated statistics or invented study citations.
- No pay-for-placement in comparisons or guides.
- No health claims about supplements or medical outcomes; that's outside this site's lane.
